Iltar-Italbox S.p.A. is a European market leader in the design and molding of elements and components in Expanded Polypropylene – EPP, Expanded Polyethylene – EPE, Expanded Polystyrene – EPS.
Starting in 2024, the Group is expanding its reach with the establishment of Iltarian Plastic KFT, the brand-new production facility in Tiszaújváros, Hungary.
Built in 2023 with state-of-the-art industrial design and equipped with cutting-edge machinery for expanded polypropylene moulding, the Iltarian plant allows us to better serve our key customers in the Eastern European market.
A market leader
Iltar-Italbox S.p.A. is a European market leader in the design and molding of elements and components in Expanded Polypropylene – EPP, Expanded Polyethylene – EPE, Expanded Polystyrene – EPS.
Present for almost sixty years on the market, Itar-Italbox has consolidated its competence in excellence and production capacity (the production site occupies 110,000 square meters) in the following areas:
- Components in Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) especially in the automotive sector;
- Reusable Expandable Polypropylene (EPP) and Expandable Polyethylene (EPE) packaging designed and manufactured to meet the handling and transport needs of logistics and industrial components;
- Disposable Packaging in Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) for the industrial market and for products aimed for the final consumer.
The offer of Iltar-Italbox also applies to special sectors such as those for containers for the transport of foods (catering, canteens, schools), thermo-hydraulic equipment, design, promotional items and toys.
Continuous research for the finished product quality and, above all, quality of production processes, is the best guarantee for the customer satisfaction.
Since 2003, the company has joined the Project “From Concept to Car”, a pool of automotive excellence companies. The R & D is intense: every year hundreds of new Projects are produced for the various operating sectors and, moreover, over time, Iltar-Italbox has filed numerous patents for packaging items and items intended for the automotive sector. The richness and design innovation have led the company to obtain, already in 1995, the packaging Oscar, a prestigious award given by the Italian Packaging Institute to the reusable multi packaging.
The company is certified according to the ISO / TS 16949: 2009 specification for the automotive sector and according to the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008 standard for the design and manufacture of expanded polystyrene and polypropylene articles and for mold design and construction.
Regarding the environment, is certified according to UNI EN ISO 14001: 2004 specification; a confirmation of the attention towards the environment by Iltar-Italbox.
From design to production
Iltar-Italbox pursues its mission based on the belief that product quality is the result of a global approach permeating the entire company. Another decisive factor is represented by the total control of all processes: from design (often in collaboration with the customer), up to production.
Sensitivity to design, ergonomics and efficiency issues – one of the main features of the company – ultimately guarantees the excellence of the result and, therefore, the customer satisfaction.
Growing attention is focused on the aesthetic finishing of expanded polypropylene component surfaces: the goal is to create “visible” components that offer quality, economy and weight control.
Curiosity, continuous innovation and competence enable Iltar-Italbox to face challenging challenges and, often, to realize world-class, objects and innovative and cutting-edge solutions.
The decades-long mold experience allows Iltar-Italbox to offer a design that perfectly meets the customer’s specifics of the finished product. At the same time, the company is able to make molds in its own workshop when the complexity of the project or the confidential nature of the project makes it necessary.
Lastly, the modern and state-of-the-art plant in the production of components guarantees, in addition to the high quality standards, an always-adequate productive capacity in terms of quantity.
